Hidden Creek Timber Homes, LLC is proud to be an Authorized Independent Representative for TimberpegĀ®
Welcome to Hidden Creek Timber Homes, LLC. We are the Timberpeg® Independent Representative in the Washington D.C. area including Northern Virginia, Western Maryland, the Eastern Panhandle West Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley.
It may be a photo, or a quaint little Inn, it could be Grandma's house or a lodge in the mountains. Maybe you saw a spectacular house and thought, Wow! These are the homes that dreams are made of! We are here to make these dreams a reality.
Whether it be a home to raise your family, a mountain retreat, a waterfront home or a place to retire, we will be able to create your vision, with a Timberpeg® home. We can design something as small as a gazebo, a front porch or a great room addition and as large as a winery or commercial building.
We will be with you every step of the way as we create a design that is uniquely yours. You can use the builder of your choice or we can help you find a builder that suits you. If you are working with an architect, we will work closely with them. Either way, we work together until you are living in your very own Timberpeg® home.
Our structural timbers, energy efficient wall & roof systems, open and well planned living spaces come together in a custom home that you will want to live in forever.
If you have never been in a Timberpeg®, we invite you to call us and set up an appointment. We promise you won’t be disappointed!
THE HISTORY OF timberpeg
Dating back over 50 years, the extraordinary Timberpeg® designs you see on this website come from humble beginnings. Our company's founder, Jesse Ware, had a vision to build homes that blended harmoniously with the countryside and began fulfilling this vision by handcrafting his own log home out of a stand of white pine trees in Hartland, Vermont in 1963. This was when our sister company, REAL LOG HOMES, was founded.
In the fall of 1972, the first timber project, a simple structure - originally called a Cluster Shed - was constructed and featured the traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery that has become the Timberpeg trademark. Customers loved the style of these structures but began requesting more custom, livable designs and options. It was in 1974 that the TIMBERPEG® brand was born.
We've been designing and fabricating Timberpeg timber frame homes ever since and today, Timberpeg is a national, and even international, company with more than 5,000 timber frame projects to our credit.
We hope you will consider using timber framing in your next project, be it a new home, addition or a remodel. It is a great way to add a feeling of warmth and substance to a home. Please visit Timberpeg's website to read more about timber framing and learn about the process. If you have any questions or would like to learn how to work timber frame elements in to your next project, please don't hesitate to contact us.

OUR PROCESS
Our goal is to help you design and build a comfortable and efficient home or addition that meets your budget and lifestyle. Our design services are inclusive with your decision to build with Timberpeg®.
Once you have your building location, one of the first things we like to do is visit the property, to do a site survey. We take note of the natural attributes of views, privacy, sunlight and slope. We will sit down and discuss your ideas, budget, needs and hopes. We can answer questions and discuss your priorities. When we are comfortable with your goals, we come up with a no obligation detailed floor plan, exterior elevation drawings and a preliminary estimate. We have the experience and knowledge to design your project and help you find a capable builder to complete your dream home.
